Thomas Campbell Robertson (1789-1863) spent his entire career in India and Burma. He was a Judge at the Bengal Presidency, District Magistrate in Chittagong, British Political Officer of Arakan in Burma, Civil Commissioner in Pegu and Ava when the Treaty of Yandaboo was signed, Agent to the Governor General on the North East Frontier Agency, President of the council of India & Deputy Governor of Bengal, even provisionally being Governor-General in acting capacity.
