Dixon of dock green. A compelling copy of this novelisation for the 1950 film The Blue Lamp, which introduced Jack Warner as PC Dixon who would become the star of his own spin-off series Dixon of Dock Green, which ran between 1955 & 1976. Dirk Bogarde features as the hardened criminal Tom Riley.

First edition; 8vo; photographic plates of stills from the film, ablation to the front free endpaper; publisher's blue cloth, dust-jacket by George Woodman, some rubbing to spine and corners but overall very good.
