First & only edition. The first and only edition of Thomas Melvill's treatise on the wool trade. The author, a weaver, proposes that the Scottish woollen industry would be best served by emulating the methods for the production of fine quality woollen goods used in Norwich and finds fault with the arguments advanced to the contrary by Patrick Lindsay in The Interest of Scotland Considered (Edinburgh, 1733).
