A handsomely bound example of Brunelleschi's illustrated edition of three works by the French dramatist, poet & novelist Alfred de Musset, known almost as well for his works (which have musically inspired artists ranging from Georges Bizet to Celine Dion) as for his relationship with the novelist 'George Sand'. Musset is also believed to be the anonymous author of Gamiani, ou deux nuits d'excès (1833), a lesbian erotic novel also believed to be modelled on Sand.
