London. George Washington Wilson (1823-1893). Wilson was both an artist and photographer. He worked predominantly in Scotland where he established a portrait studio in Aberdeen with John Hay. He did however visit London and Paris in 1849 and from 1853 took on various commissions from Prince Albert and Queen Victoria.
