'Bedford' edition; 12 vols, 12mo (12.5 x 9 cm); text printed in black, ruled in red, neat contemporary inscription to verso of ffep of Vol. 1, light foxing to preliminary and terminal leaves of most vols, largely clean and bright; uniformly bound in publisher's blue cloth, floral-print endpapers, gilt spines, top edges gilt, others a little spotted, some bumping to spine caps, else a near-fine set, housed in the original wooden box with glazed hinged door and latch, with a detachable engraved finial reading 'Shakespeare'.
