André Louis Simon contributed significantly to wine connoisseurship over several decades of his life. He was one of the founders of The Wine Trade Club, and at thirty-two was elected its first president. He also founded the Sainsbury Club, a prestigious London dining club which still meets biannually.

Signed and limited edition, number 65 of 265 copies; 4to (172 x 205mm); copiously illustrated with maps and colour photographic plates, Zaehnsdorf binding in full red morocco, vine design on upper cover in gilt with morocco onlays, spine in compartments with raised bands, gilt lettering, all edges gilt, wide inner dentelles richly gilt, marbled endpapers, near fine; 719pp.
