Highly detailed and attractive map of Afghanistan and its surrounding regions, issued to be used by military personnel at the start of the Second Anglo-Afghan War.

Lithographed colour map, dissected and mounted on linen in 32 segments, scale 1 inch to 30 miles, full size 92 x 120 cm, folding into original brown cloth-backed boards, printed title label to upper board, spine sometime expertly repaired, slight toning along segment edges, a very good copy.
