Tall 8vo; engraved portrait, contemporary green morocco in the Gothic style, multiple gilt fillets, decorative corner-pieces with red morocco onlays, elaborately gilt with red, sienna, burnt sienna and black onlays, flat spine, fan design within gilt fillets, red, sienna and black onlays, gilt dentelles and all edges gilt, by 'Gruel'.

  2. 8vo, engraved portrait, some slight spotting, exceptional crushed morocco binding, gilt panels enclosing central square decorated heavily in gilt with floral and leaf designs with red, green and sienna onlays, blind-stamped designs with central tiny gilt flower, spine with raised bands, decorated again in gilt and blind with red and green onlays, by Dauphin a Lyon.

Unique extra-illustrated example, limited edition printed hors-commerce on japon imperial for Monsieur Dumouchel, from a total edition of 525; 3 vols; 4to; illustrated with 25 monochrome etchings (of which 22 are hors-texte by Charles Huard and with two original copper plates by Huard, colour drawings throughout the text by Theodore van Elsen, signed and dated 1933, also loose are 9 wash drawings and 4 watercolours signed by Huard and a set of prospectus; vol II contains a suite of 30 colour drawings to illustrate the work, loose in an illustrated wrapper by van Elsen, with each drawing with tissue guards and mounted on blue paper, a suite of 20 original watercolours also to illustrate the work signed and captioned in pencil by Louis Ibels loose in an illustrated wrapper, dated 1933; vol.3 contains over 100 original drawings signed by Carlo Farneti to illustrate the work, 4 original watercolours by Louise Ibels and 2 signed watercolours by Leon Courbouleix; all house in modern maroon morocco boxes with gilt detail and lettering; a fine copy.

  4. Limited edition, number 67 of 250 on arches velin paper from a total edition of 295; 2 vols, 8vo (23 x 15 cm); title page in each volume, limitation page in vol. II, 46 erotic illustrations and vignettes, enhanced with watercolour, including two frontispieces, beautifully bound in ornately gilt decorated tan morocco gilt, signed G. Miller in gilt in both volumes, both vols housed in beige cloth slip case; a fine example.

  5. Limited edition, one of 3500 copies; 4to (c.270 x 210 mm.); colour plates, pictorial title, vignettes, initials and decorations by Brunelleschi; publisher's pictorial wrappers, worn at head of spine, otherwise very good, in torn [ý]original glassine dust-jacket.

Quarto (300 x 225 mm.); 20 splendid tipped-in colour plates by Umberto Brunelleschi, illustrations, decorative title in blue & brown and borders in blue; bound in dark blue morocco, by Stikeman & Co. of New York, covers with gilt-ruled borders and corner-pieces, spine gilt in compartments with five raised bands, grey morocco doublures ruled and tooled in gilt with small purple morocco onlays, cream moiré silk flyleaves, signed at foot of rear turn-in, top edge gilt, others uncut, original decorative upper wrapper bound in at end, very slight wear to head of spine, slip-case (a little rubbed).

  7. 2 vols, 8vo. in 4s, I: [4], xxvi, 374 pp., with copper-engraved frontispiece; II: [4], 375-775, [1] pp.; bound with 39 contemporary copper-engraved plates, each in two states (two plates appear in three states), and 12 pen and ink drawings dated variously 1821-2, trimmed and mounted, one with copper-engraved portrait inset; later straight-grained red morocco gilt by Noulhac, signed and dated 1918 in gilt at foot of spine, edges gilt, silk endleaves and doublures; minimal rubbing at extremities, otherwise a very fine extra-illustrated set.

First edition; 4to (29 x 20 cm), 361pp., text printed in purple reproducing the author's manuscript, 20 full page engraved illustrations including frontispiece (with slight spotting on two plates), original paper spine bound in at rear, bound by 'G.Mativet', binder's name stamped on front free endpaper, marbled endpapers, half brown morocco gilt, marbled boards, brown calf label gilt lettered; an excellent copy.

  9. 18mo. Engraved frontispiece, engraved portrait of Jeanne d'Arc and 18 engraved plates (the so-called 'suite anglaise' by Marillier), tissue guards; mild foxing scattered throughout, ink ownership stamp 'Charron' on blank recto of frontispiece, contemporary blue silk endpapers. Contemporary red morocco, gilt fillet borders to covers, spine with gilt decorative compartments, gilt edges; slightly marked and rubbed with superficial wear to head of spine and one corner.

  10. 2 vols, small 4to (20.7 x 15.4 cm). Fully engraved: hand-coloured title numbered 1, pp. 10 preface in red with black borders, plates numbered 2-30, hand-coloured, each with a leaf or two of text in red within red border; hand-coloured title and 35 hand-coloured plates with text leaves as before - in all 66 hand-coloured plates including two titles. Contemporary marbled calf, spines with raised bands gilt in compartments, brown morocco labels lettered in gilt, marbled endpapers, red edges; a bit rubbed, hinges a bit weak.
