With Olympic map and with rare publisher's slip.. This edition was originally issued in 1936 for the Berlin Olympic games. However this copy is a later issue of the same edition as the endpapers are dated "Januar 1938". It does contain the Olympic plan for 1936 which a previous owner has probably inserted at a later date.

Most town plans show squares, streets or bridges renamed under the Nazi regime. The publisher's slip regarding the Germanisation of the name of the town Saarlouis to Saarlautern is present in this volume on page 284. Very rare in this condition.

Sixth edition. lii, 524 pp, 33 maps, 75 plans and one large street map in rear pocket, with olympic plan inserted loose, publisher's slip on p.284; publisher's variant coarse grained binding, gilt lettering bright, publisher's pictorial dust-jacket, tear to front cover (with no loss); overall a very good copy.
