First edition
A good example of this interesting Communist guide Intourist was the Soviet agency established in 1929 to promote the USSR's image overseas. Stalin's Russia wasn't a closed country by any means, although many western visitors arrived as part of delegations sent by trade unions and other sympathetic groups. The pictorial map at the rear contains images of architectural and cultural interest. Scarce.First edition. 8vo ( 15 x 10 cm). 234pp, numerous adverts, one large coloured folding map at rear, pencilling inside on half title; publisher's blue cloth, original red printed dust-jacket; a very good copy.
