Inscribed copy of Isabel Burton's second book detailing a journey made with her husband to India, via Arabia and Egypt between 1875 and 1876. Although the work is predominantly focused on India, there is a chapter devoted to Jeddah and some notes on Trieste, where this voyage began. Inscribed on the half title: 'To Mrs. Bailey / with Isabel Burton's / kind comp[limen]ts / 21 Feb 1879.
