'London Fields is Amis' murder story for the end of the millennium. The victim is Nicola Six, a ''black hole" of sex and self-loathing intent on orchestrating her own extinction. The murderer may be Keith Talent, a violent lowlife whose only passions are pornography and darts. Or is the killer the rich, honourable, and dimly romantic Guy Clinch? Goodreads.

First edition, first impression; 8vo (225 x 150 mm); publisher's grey cloth, spine gilt lettered, pictorial dust-jacket, just a hint of rubbing to extremities and a small crease to head of spine, otherwise near fine.
