Sanne Sannes' first book pairs his photographs of women with a text on lover by Hugo Claus after poems by Macedonios, Asklepiades, Rufinos, Paules Silentiarius, Meleager, Amarusàtaka Bhartrhani, Chandidàsa, Jinny Whang, Fujiwara no Okikaze, Herrick, Plato, and Carlos Drummond de Andrade. Sannes manipulated his negatives, enlarged details, and printed the photographs in high contrast.
First edition; 4to (355 x 207 mm, 14 x 8¼ in); black-and-white photographs printed in offset, toning to margins, spotting to edges; original illustrated cloth-covered boards, toned, lightly rubbed and soiled, a very good copy. [96]pp.
